Little Girl Talk, No.2

7 Nov

A couple of weeks ago, my daughter was very sick with flu and allergy. We think she is allergic to dust and smoke, especially car fumes, because every time we travel by car on a long journey, or she spends a significant period of time outdoors where there’s a lot of traffic or dust, she has breathing problems.

This time I was really worried. Her breathing was shallow and she was so uncomfortable that we thought she would need an inhaler, but the doctor thought otherwise and simply gave us a prescription. Unfortunately one of the medicines made her hyper. She was jumping and running around non-stop.

I said “sit still, darling, you’re out of breath”.

She answered  “who took it?” and promptly began to cry.

Kids are funny that way…so literal. Hope she’s feeling better.
